Use your Nevada SNAP benefits to purchase groceries ONLINE
at Walmart and Amazon
Nevada SNAP and TANF recipients can now use their EBT card to purchase groceries
online through Walmart or Amazon. You will be able to order food online that you would
normally buy with your SNAP EBT card in-person and pick up curbside or select home
delivery* if available.
How do I sign up to use my SNAP
EBT benefits on Amazon?
To use your SNAP EBT card, visit www.
Amazon.com/SNAP/Register and follow
the instructions on the screen.
If you are not already an Amazon
customer, you will need to:
Create an account and add your SNAP
EBT card plus zip code to make sure that
you are eligible.
There are also opportunities to add an
EBT card during checkout or in your
amazon wallet.
How do I make online purchases at
Walmart?
Create an account on the Walmart app or
the website and place your order.
Tap or click Payment methods. You will
see an option to add your EBT card to
your account.
Add your EBT card information. Then,
tap or click Save Card.
Toggle the EBT card switch on the
Select payment method screen.
Enter the EBT food or EBT cash amount
(if you have TANF) you’d like to use.
Tap or click Continue to complete your
transaction.
* Delivery fess may apply; Nevada SNAP benefits cannot be used to cover the cost of
delivery. Nevada TANF benefits can be used to cover the cost of delivery.
EBT Online Frequently Asked Questions
Nevada SNAP recipients and TANF families can now purchase groceries online at Walmart and
Amazon. Please see the list of frequently asked questions below.
1. Can I use my EBT card to buy non-
food items?
If you only get SNAP food benefits, you can
only buy food items that you would normally
buy with your EBT card in-person. If you
receive TANF cash, you can use your cash
benefits to make food or other purchases at
Walmart, currently Amazon does not accept
TANF cash as a payment method.
2. What stores will accept my EBT card
online?
Currently, you can use your SNAP EBT
benefit to make purchases online at
Walmart and Amazon. You can also use
your TANF cash EBT to make online
purchases at Walmart.
3. Why can I only use my EBT card
online at Walmart and Amazon?
Currently, Walmart and Amazon are the
only stores that are allowed to accept EBT
cards online in Nevada. We are working to
add more stores in the future!
4. Can I order online and have my items
delivered?
You can purchase groceries online using
your EBT card and have them delivered, but
you cannot use your SNAP benefits to pay
for any applicable delivery fees. If you
receive TANF cash, you can use TANF
cash to pay for Walmart delivery fees.
Please note, not all Walmart locations
participate in delivery. For the stores that do
offer delivery, there is a limitation of a 9 to
10 miles radius from the physical store. To
find out if delivery is available in your area,
please go to http://wmt-
grocery.custhelp.com/. Amazon is able to
deliver to all arears of the state, even those
that are rural.
5. Is there a delivery fee?
When you buy $35.00 or more in groceries
from Amazon, home delivery is free.
Depending on the location and availability of
food items, a fee $3.99 to $7.00 for food
purchases less than $35.00.
Groceries purchased online at from Walmart
are subject to a delivery fee varying from
$7.95 to $9.95 depending on location,
availability of food items, and time selected
for delivery. Walmart offers unlimited
delivery for $12.95 per month, or $98.00 per
year. Prices are subject to change.
6. Can I order and pick up my items?
When you buy your groceries online using
your EBT card from Amazon, you cannot
select pick-up.
When you buy your groceries online using
your EBT card from Walmart, you can pay
online using your EBT card and schedule a
grocery pick-up for no charge.
