RENTAL SCHEME
General Terms and Conditions:
i. CPE shall consist of Set top Box (STB) and related accessories such as Low Noise Booster, Antenna, and
10 meters cable. In case additional cable is required, the cost of the additional cable shall be borne by the
subscriber.
ii. Under the rental scheme, the CPE rental charges for 6 months period will have to be paid in advance as
above. The same will be adjusted against a monthly rental due of Rs.175/- for SD and Rs.216.67/- for HD.
The rental period will be for a period of six months to be renewed after the period. Each renewal will be
for a period of six months.
iii. The one-time Installation charge and Activation charge is as above.
iv. The advance rental amount collected is non-refundable. Even if both the parties (i.e. Sun Direct TV Pvt Ltd
and Subscriber) terminates the rental scheme before the expiry of the scheme period of six months.
v. Interest will not be paid on the refundable security deposit.
vi. Sun Direct will refund the security deposit within 60 days from the date when subscriber returns the CPE in
good condition to the representatives of M/s Sun Direct.
vii. The ownership of the CPE under this scheme will always vest with Sun Direct.
viii. CPE rented under this scheme carries a service commitment from the date of activation. During such period,
repairs or replacements of the CPE shall be the responsibility of Sun Direct subject to the subscriber
agreement remaining in force the service commitment of Sun Direct will remain in force for a period of
three years.
ix. In case CPE has been damaged or tampered with or used in any other manner not specifically authorised by
Sun Direct, Sun Direct reserves the right to charge the subscriber for repairs or replacement of CPE as per
the rates to be announced by Sun Direct from time to time in accordance with TRAI regulations, if any.
x. Sun Direct reserves the right to review the rental charges and/or modify the scheme of the CPE from time
to time in accordance with TRAI regulations, if any.
