Carr P. Collins Scholarship : Awarded to students who rank in the top
quarter of their graduating class; minimum 1310 SAT/28 ACT; completed
a balanced college-prep program; must be Texas resident; must submit

teacher by January 31. Recipients are awarded a minimum of $5,350 their
freshman year, renewable for three additional years.
Living-Learning Center Scholarships : Need-based scholarships are
available for incoming students who choose to live in select
Living-Learning Centers. The scholarships are for $3,000 per year and are
renewable for three additional years for a total scholarship package of

Regent's Gold Scholarship : Provides a full tuition academic scholarship

Stephen F. Austin State University
University Regents Scholarship : This award opportunity is for first-time
incoming students at the freshman, sophomore, or junior level. Each
academic department selects 2 academically gifted undergraduates to
receive $3,000 for the academic year, broken down into two $1,500
allocations, to help cover the cost of a room in an SFA residence hall.
Commuter students can apply the money toward tuition and fees. Must
be admitted to SFA, be in the top 15 percent of their high school
graduating class (verified by transcript or letter from the appropriate high
school official), have an SAT combined verbal and quantitative score of at
least 1220 or an ACT composite score of at least 27. Students must
submit writing scores on the SAT reasoning test or writing scores on the
ACT.
The Academic Excellence Scholarship : Awards $3,000 scholarships to
entering freshmen who meet the eligibility requirements: receive the offer
of admission by June 1, rank in the top 10 percent of graduating class OR
rank in the top quarter of graduating class and earn a minimum score of
1100 on the SAT Reasoning Test (reading and math combined, not
including writing score) or rank in the top quarter of graduating class and
earn 1170 on the newly formatted SAT Test (math and evidence-based
reading and writing) or 24 on the ACT (not including writing sample
score). If specific criteria are met, the scholarship may be renewed for
three additional years after the initial award while pursuing the first

Texas A&M University’s four-year, competitive endowed academic
scholarships are awarded by scholarships and financial aid. While
competition requirements vary, only one application is necessary to be
considered for all the scholarships listed.
Consideration is given to academic achievement in a college preparatory
curriculum within the context of a student’s academic environment.
Additional factors for selection include, but are not limited to, leadership,
community service, and special talents. To be considered for

James D. Spaniolo First Generation Scholarship Endowment :
Qualified applicants must be entering first-generation freshmen with
minimum test scores of 1050 SAT/22 ACT or rank in the top 25% of the
high school class or new college transfer students with a minimum
cumulative transfer GPA of 3.0 on a minimum of 24 college transfer hours.
Financial need will be a consideration. Deadline May 1.
Centennial Endowed Scholarship : This scholarship provides support for
deserving and academically promising first-generation college students
who are entering freshmen or new transfers to UTA. Freshmen must have
minimums of 900 SAT/19 ACT or ranking in the top 25% of the graduating
high school class. Demonstrated community service is also a factor in
awarding this $1,000 per year scholarship. Renewals require a minimum

Alec Beck Endowed Scholarship : Provides scholarship awards to

on parole from any incarceration facility or system. Applicants must

1, and complete and return the Alec Beck Endowed Scholarship

Christopher Benton Chadwick Memorial Scholarship in Liberal Arts :
Provides four-year scholarships to students in the College of Liberal Arts
who demonstrate financial need and who maintain a 2.5 GPA, with
preference given to students majoring in government. This is awarded as
a four-year scholarship beginning in the student’s freshman year and
continuing for each of the next three years of the student’s academic
career as long as the student is enrolled at UT Austin and maintains a 2.5
GPA. The scholarship will continue to be awarded even if the recipient
changes majors and transfers to another college within UT Austin.
Applicants must complete the ApplyTexas Application (Admissions &
Scholarships sections) for The University of Texas at Austin by December
1 of senior year in high school, complete all financial information and
essay topics required by admissions, select “C.B. Chadwick Memorial
Scholarship in Liberal Arts” on Page 5 of the scholarship section, and

Academic Excellence Scholarship Program : Application for admission
to the university serves as the AES application. The materials included in
completed applications provide the information necessary to determine
scholarship eligibility. This includes high school grades and curricular
information about types and levels of classes taken, SAT/ACT scores, and
class rank (if available). Deadline January 15.
Eugene McDermott Scholars Program : McDermott Scholars receive
one of the most selective and generous undergraduate merit awards in
the nation; it includes a full scholarship and stipend package with access
to UT Dallas’ rigorous education, leadership training, cultural enrichment,
and personalized opportunities designed to equip them with the skills,
experience, and confidence to succeed as leaders. Students must be
first-time college freshmen and must have a minimum verbal and math
SAT score of 1450 or a minimum ACT score of 33.
Diversity Scholarship Program : The scholarship targets students who
have a record of academic excellence in high school or community
college and show significant financial need. This scholarship can be used
to cover education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, and housing.
Each student will receive $5,000 per year for a maximum of eight
semesters of undergraduate study. Applicants must be admitted to the
university, be an undergraduate student enrolling for the first time at UT
Dallas as a full-time student in the fall semester of the application year,
have a record of academic merit in high school or community college,
have financial need as determined by the UT Dallas Financial Aid Office,
complete the financial aid application (FAFSA or TASFA), submit an essay
on the topic indicated on the application, attend a Freshman or Transfer
Student Orientation session, participate in regular Diversity Scholars
Program academic check-in meetings after enrolling in the University, and
volunteer at least five hours for the Office of Diversity and Community
