An Urgent Prophetic Call to Engage in a 3-Fold Preemptive Strike
I. THE END-TIME CHURCH WILL BE A “DAVID GENERATION”
A. David is a model for the end-time Church (Isa. 55:3-5) when the Spirit raises up leaders with a heart
like David (Jer. 3:15) and restores the tabernacle of David (Amos 9:11) for the Son of David.
3
…“I will make an everlasting covenant with you—the sure mercies of David.
4
Indeed I have
given him as a witness [model] to the people, a leader and commander for the people…”
5
Surely…nations…shall run to you because…He has glorified you. (Isa. 55:3-5)
B. God testified that David was a man after His own heart (1 Sam. 13:14; Acts 13:22).
15
“I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with…understanding…
17
At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the LORD…” (Jer. 3:15-17)
C. God will raise up the tabernacle of David for Jesus as the Son of David. This includes many things
such as God’s government being released on earth in context to worship and prayer.
11
“I will raise up the tabernacle of David…I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it…” (Amos 9:11)
D. I highlight 3 applications of Psalm 18—to David, to the end-time Church, and to Jesus at His return.
Psalm 18 gives significant insights for the end-time “David Generation.” Psalm 18 is a messianic
psalm (18:49 is quoted in Rom. 15:9 and 18:2 is quoted in Heb. 2:13).
E. In my first prophetic encounter as a pastor (Dec. 19, 1976), the Lord showed me that Psalm 18
would be a very important part of my life journey and messaging. He told me that in the future
I would have “many wars” and would be opposed by many but my “greatness” would be related to
receiving God’s gentleness and responding to my adversaries in gentleness (Ps. 18:35; Mt. 5:44).
35
…Your right hand has held me up; Your gentleness has made me great. (Ps. 18:35)
F. Psalm 18 is important to the end-time Church—1) To understand what David experienced with God
(18:1-3) to inspire us to see and experience the Lord in a similar way in the face of trouble (18:4).
2) To grasp implications of the heavenly storm manifestations (18:7-15) to give assurance to the
end-time Church of being empowered by seeing Jesus’ majestic beauty in response to prayer (18:6).
3) To see how God wants us to respond as revealed to David (18:25-26).
G. The heavenly and earthly realms are deeply connected under God’s leadership. Tokens of God’s
majesty in the heavenly realm around His throne are at times released on earth when God intervenes
in human affairs in ways that His salvation purposes are advanced in a way that shifts history.
This will happen in an unprecedented way in the end-time Church and when Jesus returns.
6
In my distress I called upon the LORD…He heard my voice from His temple.
7
Then the earth
shook and trembled…
8
Smoke went up…and devouring fire from His mouth…
9
He came down
with darkness…
12
with hailstones and coals of fire.
13
The Most High uttered His voice, hailstones
and coals of fire.
14
He sent His arrows and scattered the foe, lightnings in abundance…
(Ps. 18:6-14)

H. There are storm-like manifestations around His throne that include thunder and lightning (Ezek. 1).
5
And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and…seven lamps of fire. (Rev. 4:5)
I. Over a period of about 15 years, David experienced some of these glorious manifestations of God as
did Moses, Joshua, and some of the judges. I assume that on several occasions David saw such
phenomenon when God delivered him—“shaking the earth” by earthquakes and more (18:7).
J. David experienced this more than any man in the Bible besides Moses. The end-time Church as the
“David generation” will see this in a far greater measure than David did, especially in context to the
Tribulation (Rev. 8-9; 11-12; 15-16). In the end times, signs from the heavenly realm will be
manifested in the earthly realm such as blood, fire, and smoke (Acts 2:19) and in ways that will
affect and shake the sun, moon, and stars (Lk. 21:25-26).
19
“I will show wonders in heaven…and signs in the earth…Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
20
The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the…day of the LORD.”
(Acts 2:19-20)
25
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars…” (Lk. 21:25)
15
“As in the days when you came out of the land of Egypt, I will show them wonders.” (Mic. 7:15)
K. Persecution and betrayal will greatly escalate in the days ahead. Thus, believers will be strengthened
as God answers their prayers to release tokens of His “heavenly-storm-glory” that will be seen in
some storms. The prophetic Church will see God’s love in them—others will only see bad weather.
L. In 1983, five prophetic signs in the heavens were given in advance: unusual snow (March 21);
a comet (May 7); a flood (Mississippi, May 23); drought (July 1–October 1); and rain (August 23).
M. With more detail than any other passage, Psalm 18 described the glory and anguish that David faced
as a prophetic foreshadowing of what Jesus and the end-time Church would face in a greater way.
Psalm 18 has significant insight and encouragement for those proclaiming the forerunner message.
N. David believed many promises on the day he was delivered from the Ziklag crisis. “God sent from
above”—ahead of time He set up scenarios to stop strong enemies from prevailing in David’s life.
16
He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.
17
He delivered me from my
strong enemy…
19
He delivered me because He delighted in me…(Ps. 18:16-19)
O. Note two of the most obvious characteristics of the way David responded to people.
1. By trusting God to vindicate and deliver him, he brought God into the conflict (1 Sam. 24:12).
12
Let the LORD judge between you and me, and let the LORD avenge me on you. But my
hand shall not be against you…
15
Let the LORD [decide]…plead my case, and deliver me…
(1 Sam. 24:12-15)
2. David did not seek opportunities to seize promotions that were not given to him by God.
1
…David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up to any of the cities of Judah?”
The LORD said, “Go up.” David said, “Where shall I go up?” And He said, “To Hebron.”
(2 Sam. 2:1)

II. IN PSALM 18 DAVID EMPHASIZED 4 PRIMARY RESPONSES (PS. 18:25-26)
A. We are surprised to read that David understood that God delivered him because he was blameless
(18:20-24). He wrote this after 16 months of allowing some spiritual compromises in his life while
at Ziklag. David was blameless in the sense of not vindicating himself by taking revenge on those
who betrayed him and for not scheming or manipulating to take the throne. In 18:20, he is speaking
in context to how he treated people such as Saul (1 Sam. 26:23), and others who betrayed him.
20
The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness…
23
I was blameless before Him…
(Ps. 18:20-23)
23
May the LORD repay every man for his righteousness and faithfulness; for the LORD delivered
you [Saul] into my hand, but I would not stretch out my hand against [you]… (1 Sam. 26:23)
B. David highlighted 4 spiritual laws (Ps. 18:25-26). Each are in context to how we treat people. This
is the only way to John 17:23 unity as a culture of betrayal increases in the global body of Christ.
25
With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blameless man You will
show Yourself blameless;
26
with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious
You will show Yourself shrewd. (Ps. 18:25-26)
C. With the merciful God will be merciful (18:25): David deeply believed that God would give him
“more” mercy to the measure that he gave mercy to others who sought to harm or betray him. God
often treats a person in the way that they treat others (Lk. 6:38). Showing mercy is the most
challenging virtue to grow in. It requires that we see more about who God is and how He sees us
and others in His “billion-year plan.” We must do many “spiritual push-ups” to grow in this.
36
Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful…
38
Give [mercy], and it will be given
to you… For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Lk. 6:36-38)
1. The Lord is leading His people into a “John 17:23” transformation by embracing and
imparting Matthew 5:44—to be like our Father (5:45). David excelled in this grace.
44
“…bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you…
45
that you may be sons of
your Father…for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good…” (Mt. 5:44-45)
2. David understood that he refused to retaliate and vindicate himself but trusted God to do it—
that it might lead to increased blessing on him from the Lord’s hand (2 Sam. 16:12).
5
When David came to Bahurim…Shimei…came out, cursing continuously as he came …
9
Abishai said [to David], “Why should this dead dog curse the king?… let me take off his
head”…
11
David said to Abishai…
12
“It may be that the LORD will look on my affliction,
and that the LORD will repay me with good for his cursing this day.” (2 Sam. 16:5-12)
3. David knew it pleased God to show kindness to the men who honored Saul—even though
Saul had often betrayed David. David understood the power of blessing those who betrayed
him instead of vindicating himself and repaying them with hardship (2 Sam. 2:6).
4
The men of Jabesh Gilead…buried Saul.”
5
So David…said to them, “You are blessed of
the LORD, for you have shown this kindness…to Saul, and have buried him.
6
Now may the
LORD show kindness and truth to you. I also will repay you this kindness…” (2 Sam. 2:4-6)

D. With a blameless man (18:25): In 18:23, David defined what being blameless in this context
means. David refused to pay back those who mistreated and betrayed him. He refused to manipulate
or scheme in pursuing a position of power or privilege or to gain advantages over others. The Lord
promises to lead such a person in ways to help them enter in the fullness of His will for their lives.
E. With the pure man (18:26): The pure are those who respond to others with pure motives that seek
their best interests as Jesus defined it (Mt. 5:44-48). They will see God more clearly (Mt. 5:8).
8
“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God…
44
bless those who curse you, do good to
those who hate you…
48
You shall be perfect, just as your Father…is perfect.” (Mt. 5:8, 44-48)
F. With the devious (18:26): The Lord will show Himself shrewd. He will allow devious people to get
ensnared and trapped by their own doings—the hurtful things they did and said about others. God
will allow them to draw false conclusions about what they are doing without showing them the
harm it will result in. He allows this even with some of His children to wake them up spiritually.
III. THE END-TIME CHURCH IS TRANSFORMED IN CONTEXT TO BETRAYAL
A. The combination of an unprecedented outpouring of the Spirit with betrayal is part of the optimum
environment for the Church to be transformed in order to relate as an unified international family of
affection (Jn. 17:22-23). Multitudes in the end-time Church will be progressing toward mature love,
while many will be overcome with offense that will lead them to betray other believers (Mt. 24:10).
The gospel is made known to all nations (Mt. 24:14; Jn. 17:23) in context to betrayal and pressure.
22
“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
23
…that the world may know that You have sent Me…” (Jn. 17:22-23)
10
“Then many will be offended, will betray…
14
This gospel…will be preached in all the world…”
(Mt. 24:10-14)
B. By definition, betrayal is in context to a close relationship—including family and friends.
16
“You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends…” (Lk. 21:16)
17
The first one to plead his cause seems right, until his neighbor comes and examines him…
19
A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city filled.
21
Death and life are in the power of
the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. (Prov. 18:17-21)
C. We must be alerted to two extreme social and spiritual developments occurring simultaneously in
the global body of Christ in the end times. They are total opposites—a culture of betrayal
(Mt. 24:10) in contrast to a culture of deep love and unity (Jn. 17:23).
D. Both betrayal and blood are accelerants” that lead to faster growth in humble love or in bitterness
and offense. Betrayal creates urgency in us to go much deeper in our relationship with God to find
understanding, reconciliation, healing, and peace for the pain that is caused by betrayal.
E. Over a 50-year period, David was betrayed by family members (Saul, Ammon, Absalom, Michal,
Adonijah, Joab, Ish-bosheth, his own brothers; Ps. 69:7-12), by his own men (Ziklag; 1 Sam. 30),
by top political (Ahithophel) and military leaders (Abner; 2 Sam. 3:9), by his countrymen (Ziphites
and at Keilah), the army of Israel (with Saul, then Absalom), and others (Shimei, Doeg, etc.).

IV. SATAN’S MOST EFFECTIVE WEAPON IN THE END TIMES IS ACCUSATION (REV. 12:10)
A. The Church is approaching the most glorious and challenging hour in history with the dragon (black
horse) breathing on many to accuse and betray each other (Rev. 12:10; cf. Lk 21:16). Satan has the
supernatural ability to turn whispered innuendoes into hostile accusations that destroy lives and
relationships. Satan’s most destructive weapon against God’s people is accusation (Rev. 12:10).
7
And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with…the dragon and his angels…
9
So the great dragon was…cast to the earth…
10
Then I heard a loud voice saying…
“Now salvation, and…power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren,
who accused them…day and night, has been cast down.
11
And they overcame him by the blood of
the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives…” (Rev. 12:7-11)
21
They did not repent of their murders…sorceries…sexual immorality or their thefts. (Rev. 9:21)
12
“…Daniel, for from the first day…your words were heard…
13
The prince of the kingdom of
Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael…came to help me… (Dan. 10:12-13)
1
At that time Michael shall stand up…who stands watch over [Israel]… (Dan. 12:1)
B. John saw 3 ways that the saints will overcome Satan’s attack of accusation against them.
11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony [by
embracing the divine narrative], and they did not love their lives to the death. (Rev. 12:11)
1. Blood of Jesus: It represents Jesus’ death and resurrection and that He delights in us.
2. Word of our testimony: Stay engaged in the divine narrative for your life, and for others
including even the believers who are betraying you in various seasons (Rom. 8:31- 39).
Our inheritance is to live with a bright spirit even when being accused (Prov. 4:18; Jn. 5:35).
31
…If God is for us, who can be against us?...
33
Who shall bring a charge against God’s
elect? It is God who justifies…
37
we are more than conquerors…
38
I am persuaded
that…
39
[nothing] shall be able to separate us from the love of God… (Rom. 8:31-39)
18
The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day
23
Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life. (Prov. 4:18-23)
3. Love not your life: Seek to walk in 100% obedience to Jesus (give the devil no open doors)
and pray-read the Word daily (cultivate an on-going conversation with Jesus). This is doable.
V. TWO PROPHETIC ENCOUNTERS: THE CHARIOT AND THE BLACK HORSE
A. On August 8, 1984, in a visionary experience, I stood in a heavenly room and saw a line of chariots,
symbolic of a calling to minister in God’s power. The Lord said to me with sternness, “Young man,
if you are impatient, you will cause great harm and much turmoil to many peoples.” The Lord
said, “Get in the chariot, for it has been ordained for you.” I cried out, “No, this is an injustice!”
I later understood that I must be patient—without quitting or taking matters into my own hands—
when God allows delays in releasing His promises, provision, or in vindicating me before critics, or
in removing obstacles, and to be patient toward those who stumble, knowing He will restore many.

B. On September 13, 1984, I was kicked by a demonic black horse. Michael the archangel said that
when I “went to the east,” I would be attacked with demonic rage by the black horse.
C. I expect Satan’s rage to strike in increasing ferocity in the years to come after “going to the east” in
context to 5 million Gentiles being mobilized to pray for Israel in the Isaiah 62 Fast (May 2023).
D. In 2021, I had two dreams highlighting Psalm 55 with the message that millions in the global body
of Christ will experience an increase of betrayal what would be demonically inspired to destroy
their families and relationships. Psalm 55 was written about both David and Jesus being betrayed.
1
Give ear to my prayer, O God…
3
for they bring down trouble upon me and in anger they bear a
grudge against me
12
It is not an enemy who reproaches me…then I could hide myself from him.
13
But it is…my familiar friend…
14
we had sweet fellowship together walked in the house of God…
(Ps. 55:1-3, 12-14)
E. On September 6, 2021, I saw an open vision of a demonic attack of accusation that did not prevail.
F. Yesterday while watching Netflix’ Einsatzgruppen: The Nazi Death Squads, the spirit of prayer
came on me, letting me know it was time to increase our response to resist the dragon against Israel.
VI. THREE PREEMPTIVE ACTIONS—TO INCREASE IN THIS HOUR
A. Call on the Lord to release more tokens of His “heavenly storm glory” into situations (Ps. 18:6-15).
B. Resist Satan’s activity that operates through people against God’s kingdom purposes. Do not revile
Satan, but speak against demonic attacks as Michael did (Jude 9)—simply saying, “The Lord
rebuke you,” when people spread accusations against Israel, your life, loved ones, city, etc.
7
Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. (Jas. 4:7)
9
Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses,
dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” (Jude 9)
1
He showed me Joshua…before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing…to accuse him.
2
The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan!” (Zech. 3:1-2, NAS)
C. Invoke God’s activity and bless those who curse you but only if you are walking in a Matthew 5:44
level of obedience—this is most challenging but most important.
