Welcome back to a new year at St Peter’s Girls Prep School and may I take this opportunity to wish you and your
families everything of the very best for 2018! May it be a year filled with love and laughter!
I would like to extend a special welcome to our new staff and families:
In terms of teachers:
Miss Lerato Mafatle starts as our new Gr 0 teacher.
Mrs Robyn van Ginkel joins us in Gr 2.
Mrs Leanne Fleming joins us to head up physical education in the Junior Prep.
Mrs Boitumele Ledwaba starts as our new Middle School and Gr 5 isiZulu teacher.
Mrs Keimtumetse Makola joins our Senior Prep Sports Department.
Miss Charne Bardenhorst also joins our Sports Department as a qualified biokineticist.
We also wish the following teachers every success in their new roles in the school:

Into Grade 4: Amolemo Makhubo, Storm Badrian, Tawonga Nkosi, Tyla du Preez and Chloe Jacobs.

I am delighted to inform you that our very first Matrics (Gr 0 class of 2006), achieved some outstanding Matric
results with a number of girls achieving 7 and 8 A’s! We will publish a list of achievements as soon as we have
confirmed all the results.
This week saw the start of our Information Evenings with Gr 0 and Middle School. Next Monday Evening (22
January), we have our Gr 1s in the Junior Prep, starting at 18:00 and Grade 5s and 6s in Royce Hall starting at
18:30. On Wednesday (24 Jan) we host Gr 2s in the Junior Prep starting at 18:00 and the Grade 7s in Royce Hall,
starting at 18:30.
Parents are strongly encouraged to make every effort to attend these meetings as they not only provide crucial
information about the year ahead, but also serve as an opportunity for parents to reconnect and meet new
parents.
