I am delighted to inform you that our very first Matrics (Gr 0 class of 2006), achieved some outstanding Matric

results with a number of girls achieving 7 and 8 A’s! We will publish a list of achievements as soon as we have

confirmed all the results.

This week saw the start of our Information Evenings with Gr 0 and Middle School. Next Monday Evening (22

January), we have our Gr 1s in the Junior Prep, starting at 18:00 and Grade 5s and 6s in Royce Hall starting at

18:30. On Wednesday (24 Jan) we host Gr 2s in the Junior Prep starting at 18:00 and the Grade 7s in Royce Hall,

We warmly welcome all our students back to school. How very privileged we are to be at St Peter’s and in an

environment that supports a love of learning and life itself.

A special welcome to the Grade 0 girls and the new Grade 1 and Grade 2 girls, we are excited to get to know

you all and wish you a long and happy stay at St Peter’s, learning and playing.

Teachers will revisit the Uniform expectations at the Information evenings. Please ask teachers for

clarification about what girls should wear and colours of bags, hair accessories etc. For Grade 0, all

genuine interest. Grooming relates directly to the dress code and requires the girls to wear their uniforms

with pride. Grounds is about ‘this place’ and taking care of the immediate surroundings, the environment and

the wider world. Grit is the ability to tough a difficult problem or situation out . . . In a discussion of a girl that

demonstrates this quality, the comment could be: ‘I've known few girls who could match her grit’. Synonyms

include: courage, bravery, pluck, backbone, strength of character, determination, and strength of will and

character. Finally, we encourage an attitude of Gratitude to be expressed and shared every day.

These concepts will be introduced to the girls in the next month and we ask you to reinforce these at home as

often necessary and appropriate.
