Job Title: Electronics Component Engineer
Location: 97 Highbury Road, Burwood 3125, VIC, Australia
Rectifier Technologies is a global, high-tech company specialising in innovative design and
manufacturing of medium and high-power conversion modules and systems which service
the industrial controls, public utility, mining, telecommunications, and Electric Vehicle (EV)
charging markets. We are seeking an experienced Electronic Component Engineer to join
our engineering group in Australia. This person will be integral in the sourcing and
verification of electronic components for our engineering and manufacturing groups.
The applicant must list in a cover letter their demonstrated experience and proficiency in all
the following items:
Must have:
Knowledge of power and control electronics, knowledge of component choices and
trade-offs in these fields.
Experience in supporting design engineers and the supply chain team in the
selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of electronic components.
Ability to assist in the sourcing of electronic components of acceptable performance,
quality, cost and lead time in conjunction with the design engineers and supply chain
team.
Ability to prepare technical and progress reports on assigned tasks, prepare
specifications for components, evaluate components and analyse test reports
Experience in laboratory component testing and qualification.
Experience in managing components in an ERP system
Experience in purchasing electronic components.
Experience in bill material costing for electronic equipment.
Desirable to have experience in:
Hands-on Power Electronics with experience working on equipment above 2kW.
Other requirements:
Level of experience required 5 to 10 years. This is mid-level role.
Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (4 years) or higher / equivalent experience

Ability to search and seek out the latest electronic components technology
Strong written and verbal English communications skills
Must be a self-starter, be a team player but require minimal supervision
Ability to communicate across language/cultural boundaries
Ability to use Altium, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems
Must have Australian citizenship or valid permanent resident visa to work in Australia prior
to application.
