I was also very much looking forward to diving into the crazy scenes that they would surely have had designed by pro
sound designers getting paid to do that.
That is what I would expect as well, but it seems that the purpose of the Octapacks are rather going in a different
direction, whatever that means...
Thanks for the honest review, I was curious what those packs offer regarding sound design and showing the full potential
of the OT, but it seems as it is less crazy sound design and more banging sample loops from what I have read until
someone else proves the opposite.

I tend to think that the sample packs are aimed at a specific audience. I honestly do not listen to well ANY of the artists
listed in the "Electro" Genre, I think "Electro" is Dynamix II, or Herbie Hancock, but in the present musical climate the
name has taken on an entirely different meaning...
OK, but, I also think that getting sample packs tailored to the OT help demystify how to use it, and maybe give even
seasoned users some kind of insight they might not have previously had.
I think honesty is imperative to reviewing sample packs, but there are ways around being, mean spirited towards the
people producing them. Constructive criticism could eventually lead to a product that pleases a larger demographic of
people, straight trash talking usually doesn't lead anyone anywhere.
I paid for both as well and I feel the descriptions were inflated, inflated but not out and out untruths. Yeah I would dig
more bang for the buck, I bet we all would.
I would just look forward to MORE of them, maybe a little bit of a better discount for people who bought em straight out,
something along those lines.

I thought the same thing when I listened to the examples.
Garbage. I hate when people misappropriate the word 'electro.'

I couldn't resist to give loopmasters a second chance and hence also bought the Dubstep pack. In my opinion, this pack
is much better than the second one, more OT programming and the music style also sounds nicer to me than this
'electro' though I didn't know dubstep before. I would rate it as 4/5 stars, excellent sound quality (of course), some nice
OT programming, but still some space for improvement, e.g., regarding scenes or pre-defined kits.
In general, I like the idea of OT packs very much. Just to keep that clear. The easy exchangeability of sets is one of the
things where I like the OT much more than other gear and downloading OT-specific sample packs is just great.
